bro 문화와 기득권을 경멸하는 팟캐스트 집단은 어떻게 젊은 남성을 규합하여 도널드 트럼프의 백악관 입성에 기여하였는가
 
There is a huge, growing, media world of that is hidden from sight for mainstream audiences. Today's podcast starts are both very famous - filling up Madison Aquare Garden, for example - yet also unknown to large portions of Americans. 
 
the role of traditional media? 
 
Unlike Hollywood actors or journalists, who exist studiously out of reach, these new starts are defined by how available they are. 
 
일상에 있음, 설겆이를 하거나 출근하느라 운전할 때, 컨텐트 자주 업로드, 당신의 코멘트에 응답, 실시간으로 읽어주기도, 그리고 허물없이 거칠게 말함. 심지어 Manosphere는 전통 언론이라면 절대 하지 않을 스타일, 전통 언론인은 깔끔한 차림에 잘 세팅된 스튜디오에 앉아 격식에 맞춰 말을 가려함, 심지어 Manosphere는 journalist도 아니고 그렇게 되길 원하는 것도 아님
 
아무튼 기사는 Fianancial Times(전통 언론)가 Manosphere에 대해 설명하며 전통 언론은 이제 이런 뉴 미디어의 인플루언서가 얼마나 인기가 높아지는지를 주목하게 되었다고, 그러면서 뉴 미디어의 영향력은 부정할 수 없으니 전통 미디어와 뉴 미디어가 공존해야 한다, 그러나 전통 미디어를 무시할 수는 없다, 결국 트럼프도 팟캐스트에 많이 출연했지만 fox에서 19명을 채용했다라는 impact없고 새로운 통찰도 없는 장편의 기사가 되었으나.
 
작금의 우리나라 상황이랑 똑같다. 텍스트보다 영상에 익숙한 MZ 세대는 유튜브 같은 뉴 미디어 채널 (주로 윤석열 대통령 지지 및 탄핵 반대)을 접하며 주류 언론(윤석열 대통령 반대 및 탄핵 찬성)과 다른 의견을 갖는 게 당연한 거 아닌가. 게다가 주류 언론이 점잖게 하는 말을 뉴 미디어에서 좀 더 친숙하고 격식 없이 시원시원한게 말하는 정도의 차이가 아니다. 같은 상황에 대해 완전히 다른 말을 하고 있다. 알고 보니 주류 언론이 말한 게 팩트 체크가 되지도 않았고, 전통 미디어에서 어떤 사실을 묘사하면서 자신들의 의견이나 해석을 덧붙인 수준이 아니라 아예 사실 자체를 왜곡해서 전달하고 있었다는 사실을 알고 충격. 비주류 언론의 사람들이 각종 자료와 증거를 보여주며 의견을 개진하는 데 설득안 될 수가?
 
대권에 영향력을 끼칠 정도인데 더 자세한 연구가 필요하지 않을까. 한 걸음 더 나아가 제도권/비제도권 그리고 무매력/매력의 차이
